Detox the Body

cleansing faith and fit 90 challenge Jan 15, 2023

We are now in week 11. Congratulations!

After this week, we only have two more weeks left in Faith and Fit 90 Series 1. Since this week, we are focusing on cleansing. Today we will focus on taking steps to detoxify our body because we need to set aside time to allow the body to get rid of toxins in our blood, lymphatic system, and colon.

When detoxifying, we are cleansing our blood. The blood carries away the waste and brings oxygen and nutrients to every cell in the body. This process protects us from disease, infection, and sickness. As a result, we want to do what it takes to keep our blood clean because the blood circulates to our liver, kidney, lungs and back again through the liver repeatedly. We want to keep our lymphatic system clean because it is like a sewer system in our body. It drains away waste from our cells, tissue, and organ. Moreover, we want our colon to stay clean because it is like a trash can and it absorbs most of the water in our body. If the water in our colon is pure, clean water will flow in our body.

Since an overload of toxins are linked to weight gain, cancer, Alzheimer’s, autism, diabetes, fatigue, heart disease, allergies, and infertility, we should do everything we can to help our bodies eliminate toxins. Our body gives us signs when we are experiencing toxicity. We get fatigued, weight fluctuations, halitosis, constipation, smell sensitivity, and skin reactions.

So to help our body detoxify, we can start doing the following things:

  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of spring/ alkalize water and herbal tea

  • Get plenty of nutrition by eating and drinking vegetables and fruits

  • Get plenty of rest by going to bed at moonlight and getting at least 6, 7.5, 9 hrs. of sleep

  • Exercise by rebounding to stimulate the lymphatic system, walking and stretching.

  •  Sweat by sitting in a detox bath or sauna for 15 to 30 minutes

Moreover, to help our body detoxify, we can avoid the following things.

  • Avoid milk and dairy foods

  • Avoid processed foods that are not fresh

  • Avoid stress by soaking in the tub, getting a massage, meditating on scriptures

  • Avoid starvation by getting at least 1,200 calories a day

  • Avoid cravings by eating and drinking dark green vegetables

  • Avoid alcohol because it will work the liver, which is counterproductive when detoxifying

Our bodies can do amazing things. If we give it the opportunity, it will do what it can to repair and heal itself. If we combine what we are learning in the natural, with the supernatural power of God, anything nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37). For example, God was with Samson, and he was able to kill a lion and tear down an entire building with his hands. God was with Esther, and she was able to get the courage to save her people. With God, we can have the strength to overcome temptation.

Today’s Prayer: God, You reign forever and ever in the heavens and on earth. We are so thankful for You. You deserve all the glory, honor, and praise. Let Your kingdom come and will be done in our lives. Help us to do incredible things to clean our bodies. So we can be strong in my body, spirit, and soul. Give us knowledge, wisdom and understanding we need to cleanse our body. We ask You to forgive us for all our debts, trespasses, and sins as we forgive our debtors and those who have trespassed and sinned against us. Lead us not into temptation. Help us to be equipped with the full armor of God as You deliver us from evil. For Yours is the Kingdom, Power and Glory. In Jesus Name, I pray. Amen.
